ACCOR ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH TRUE CODING SYSTEM

NEW YORK, NY – Furthering its commitment with the travel trade community, Accor North America has announced that independent travel agents who use the TRUE (Travel Retail Universal Enumeration) identification codes will be integrated into Accor’s worldwide system effective April 15, 2011.

Coinciding with this announcement, Accor is also launching a contest for agents who complete an e-learning module. The “Learn with Us” program is designed to help educate agents about Accor’s various brands that include a full spectrum of hotels from luxury to budget; business and leisure. Agents who complete the training between April 15 and May 15 will be eligible to win one of several iPads

There are several benefits for agents as a result of this partnership. This includes easy access and the ability to book clients’ travel through Accor’s dedicated travel agent website www.accorhotels.travelagencies.com. Agents are guaranteed payment of commissions within 30 days after the guest checks out.

They will be able to annex the STAR – Special Travel Agent Rates - program, which provides trade partners with discounts of up to 30 percent off published rates for personal travel.

TRUE agents will now have their clients recognized in A|Club – Accor’s worldwide multi-brand loyalty program that is valid in a selection of 2,300 properties.

“We are very pleased to integrate these agents into our travel partner family as we have long valued our relationship with them and the travel agency community and can now formally acknowledge our appreciation,” notes Kerrie Hannaford, Vice President Global Sales, North America.
